At 2:20am, I am being picked up and go to the airport. I finished packing about 30 minutes ago and I have a finally I am going to be a bit overweight. There is a big pile of clothes that I am leaving behind and some books. My carry on is going to be really heavy because I put all my books in it. I can’t afford to pay if my baggage is overweight. It is ridiculously expensive.
Today has been well very odd. I want my last day to be memorable but I have nothing to do. Now I’m just waiting. Earlier I met up with my friend, Amber, to say goodbye. We walked and sat down at a bench. Then after a while she had to go so we parted ways at the metro station. Of course we hugged and she started to cry. Then I couldn’t help but cry. She was my closest friend in Russia this semester. I’ll miss her so much.
After I stopped at a flower shop to buy my host mom flowers. I bought her five red roses as a thank you gift for everything she has done for me this semester. I also bought her a little package of macarons but I don’t know why but they got messed up a bit. Maybe I shouldn’t have put them by the window but oh well.
When I got home I started to pack which took longer than I thought it would. I thought it would take about 2 hours to pack and clean my room. Boy, was I wrong. It took forever! I repacked my big suitcase about 3 times. The first time it was way to heavy so I had to take stuff out. Then the second time it still felt a bit too heavy so I took out my books from there. Now its just okay but I’m unsure of how much it weighs. I know that it is under 70 pounds for sure but I need it to be weigh a maximum of 50 pounds. Please be under that.
When I was satisfied enough of my baggage I decided to clean my room. I cleaned the desk, took out all the trash, cleaned the floor, and other little things.
I am suppose to go out to dinner with my host family at some point but I don’t know when that is happening. I’m kind of hungry now. I just realized that I have had nothing to eat since breakfast, which was around 11am.
I just got back from dinner like 20 minutes ago and it was nice. My host mom gave me a silver ring and matching earrings. I will cherish them forever. Are my eyes filling up with tears? Yea. Of course, they are. I’m going to cry and it will be the third time today.
Now I am going to go sleep for about an hr. Then I will make my way to the airport.
